Glover trained at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, although she did not begin her career as a book artist. After receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School, she served as an international consultant in strategy, industry best practices, and marketing communications. In the mid-1990s, she shifted to full-time work as a mixed-media artist and professional graphic designer. Glover published an early, color version of this work in 2000; the drawing incorporated in this edition is copyrighted 2003.
