 E-LIST #64  I am pleased to offer for sale a selection of recent acquisitions which include Laure Albin Guillot's  MICROGRAPHIE DÉCORATIVE, with 20 photogravure plates printed on a variety of papers and folis; L’EPREUVE PHOTOGRAPHIQUE.PREMIÈRE SÉRIE. [WITH]  DÈUXIEME SÉRIE, 1904, which includes 96 photogravure plates by Boisonnas, Demachy, Puyo, Misonne, Steichen, Keighley, and others; two copies of Blanquart-Evrard's  TRAITÉ DE PHOTOGRAPHIE SUR PAPIER, a “very considerable improvement of Talbot’s calotype process.”; ESTHÉTIQUE DE LA PHOTOGRAPHIE, one of 75 special copies with an additional suite of plates; three early works by Charles Chevalier, including an 1850's catalogue of cameras, lenses, and developing materials for daguerreotypes and photographs on paper and glass; a collection of stock certificates from European cinematic companies; the first book to include a pinhole camera photograph; a gelatin silver portrait of Una Merkel by Edward S. Curtis; a small archive of catalogues and letters from the Hess-Ives Corporation; numerous manuals for making daguerreotypes and other early processes;  a bound collection of letter on the early history of Lacock Abbey by Charles Henry Talbot; Jean-Baptiste Soleil's GUIDE DE L’AMATEUR DE PHOTOGRAPHIE OU EXPOSÉ DE LA MARCHE À SUIVRE DANS
L’EMPLOI DU DAGUERRÉOTYPE ET DES PAPIERS PHOTOGRAPHIQUES, 1840, likely the first French manual to include paper processes, with an uncalled for photograph of the author, an exceedingly rare publication with WorldCat listing  a single copy; gelatin silver photographs by Berenice Abbott, Anthony Barboza, Doug Prince, and a self portrait by Jerry Uelsmann; a cyanotype of flowering vines by Louis Comfort Tiffany, likely a unique print.

E-LIST60 I am pleased to offer for sale a selection of recently acquired books, photographs and related ephemera.  These include: Laure Albin-Guillot's, CIELS, a portfolio of 16 signed Fresson prints, which accompany the text by Marcelle Maurette; a group of 6 illustrated photographic paper samples from the German firm of Ferdinand Beyrich, c. 1861-1865; Gay-Lussac's account of Daguerre's discovery, likely the first published; G. Christopher Davies' 48 photogravure plate portfolios of the Broads and Rivers of Norfolk and Suffolk; a perfect copy of Hosoe's first book, Man and Woman, signed; 2 gelatin silver prints by Joseph Jachna, signed; a unique presentation album of platinum and other photographs produced by the Old Cambridge Photographic Club, 1895; and a 2 page announcement by M.A. Root, c.1846-1847, stating his acquisition of the stock of the Mayall Gallery, Philadelphia, as well as the prices for his varied photographic services.
