Ota Matoušek (1890 - 1977) born in Pilzen, Czechoslovakia, Matousek studied at the Prague Academy from 1910 to 1915. During the 1920s and1930s Matousek’s artwork was widely exhibited. He was arrested by the Gestapo in March 1943 and sent to Flossenburg concentration camp. After liberation a set of sixty-eight sketches depicting everyday life in the camp was exhibited in Prague.

Introductions by Miroslav Pávek and Bohumil Houdek; verse by Václav N mec. This is copy 74 of 100 numbered copies on handmade paper, signed by Ota Matoušek and Václav N mec. WorldCat lists only two copies; Metropolitan Museum of Art and U. S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
