This short manual was one of the earliest texts on the coloring of photographs, preceded only by Mansion's INSTRUCTIONS FOR COLOURING DAGUERREOTYPE PORTRAITS, London, 1845; it was reprinted in 1856 and again in 1862 with slight additions.
