Raghubir Singh (1942 - 1999) lived and worked in London, Paris and New York. He was a pioneer of the use of color in photojournalism. He is renowned for his images of India, and his dramatic use of color. Culled from his numerous trips to Banaras, the sacred city on the Ganges, Singh documents its vitality.
