Volume 1 is bright and very good; in Volume 2 the front free endpaper has been replaced; small and slight crack to the rear hinge, but firm; slight soil on the half-title page. A very good set. A well-illustrated and extensive biography of this famous potter, whose son Thomas Wedgwood conducted a number of experiments on the effect of light on the nitrate of silver, which were reported in the Journal of the Royal Institution [1802].
