In 1974, Michael Bishop was an instructor at the Visual Studies Workshop. While at the Workshop, he printed and published DO NOT ENTER: CATALOGUE, WINTER, SPRING, 1974, 24 pp. of photographs of street signs, fences, and other man-made objects that limit and control physical flow while serving the same function visually in the tightly cropped photographic images. It seems that he made another book in 1974, FIRST CLASS, a blank book, a fitting compliment to DO NOT ENTER, a comment on the structure and nature of two dimensional images.

Limited to 8 copies.
