The lithographic print was made by Lehman & Duval after a painting by Charles Bird King. Beneath the title is printed "Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1836 by E. C. Biddle, in the Clerks Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Pa." It was issued as a plate in the three folio volume work by Thomas L. McKenney and James Hall, HISTORY OF THE INDIAN TRIBES OF NORTH AMERICA.
