Light chipping to the paper at the base of the spine and a sarape to the imprint on the rear board; as is always found with this title, the surface paper is lightly cracked at the spine; however, the joint is firm and unaffected. The twelve illustrations by Augusto Ignacio Vallmitjana are described as "cinegraficas" when in actuality they are still camera images which evoke a cinematographic experience in their placement in the text and their dream-like qualities.
