Washington, DC: Phillips Collection, 1980. Tenneson, Joyce. First edition. Small 4to., [17 pp.], 10 b&w photos. Illustrated stiff wrapper. Slight crease to the bottom edge; else very good. Item #52490
Joyce Tenneson (b. 1945, Boston) is mainly a self-taught independent fine art photographer. This is the catalog for an exhibition of her works at the Phillips Collection in 1980. While clearly photographic works, the graphic quality and rough borders gives each piece a drawing like appearance. The body of work is autobiographical in nature, portraying mothers and children, some images including Tenneson and her own child. Essay written by David Tannous.
