Founded as by Michel Brient in 1964 with Jean Adhémar, the Chief Curator of the Department of Prints and Photography at the Bibliotheque Nationale de France; by issue No. 7, the editorship passed to J. L. Swiners. With issue No. 30 it became a monthly, and ceased with No. 33.
As the title suggests, photojournalistic photographers were largely featured in articles and portfolios. Each issue included brief reviews of major exhibitions and new publications.
Issues 1 - 33, lacking only 1 issue.
