Born in New York City in 1941, Martone first studied photography at the High School of Performing Arts in New York in 1956; his father was the WPA artist Jack Martone. He is included in A.D. Coleman's THE GROTESQUE IN PHOTOGRAPHY (1977) and LIGHT READINGS (1979). Issued in an edition of 2000 copies.
