Hungarian born painter, photographer, designer and educator who joined the studio of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy in London. He emigrated to Chicago in 1937 to join Moholy-Nagy at the New Bauhaus where he taught design and helped to form the curriculum. He founded the Center for Advanced Visual Studies at M.I.T. in 1967 and retired from there in 1974. Produced in conjunction with an exhibition, June 1 to July 8, 1984.
