The copy of J. Arno Press reprinted this in 1973 in its series THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF LITERATURE: "Written by one of the members of the Photographic Exchange Club of London, a picture maker famous for his superlative still-life and landscapes, this work is comparable in scope to Disderi's L'art de la photogaphie (1862), Root's The Camera and the Pencil (1864) and Robinson's Pictorial Effect in Photography (1869)."
