E-LIST 38 I am pleased to offer for sale this group of 74 entries which constitute the critical treatises, manuals and histories of the development of photography, from the first book that suggests the possibility, GIPHANTIA, a work of science fiction, 1761; the ground breaking processes of Daguerre and Talbot; the manuscript processing notes of Hugh Welch Diamond, one of the founding fathers of British photography; the advanced paper process of Le Gray; the advent of the motion picture in a large group of works by Marey and Muybridge; the first viable color processes of Ducos Du Hauron and Cros, with the first work to contain a color photograph from nature by Blanquart-Évrard; and the first work to document the advances of the photomechnical print, also by Blanquart-Évrard. There is a complete set of the Société Française de Photographie's, CATALOGUE DE LA EXPOSITION ANNUELLE, 1857 - 1876.
