The title page bears the stamp of the Paris distributor. A good copy. Housed in a new quarter tree calf and cloth clamshell box with morocco label on spine. Item #26174

The first part presents a history and describes the first experiments in photolithography. The rest of the book is devoted to processes and formulas. The first plate is a two page photolithographic facsimile of an engraving by Albrecht Dürer; the two color plates are examples of chromolithography.
